New school bag, backpack, how to of old jeans make a backpack

          The new school year has started here in Croatia and my daughters need new school equipment, including school bags. I have to admit, here in Croatia, for our standard school supplies is rather expensive. Good thing is, my daughter Julia decided that she wants to have a backpack which I will sew. I used a combination of denim and leather, like I did few years ago for my older daughter.

I wanted the cost to be less, so I took one of my pants that I didn't wear because I got a little fat and out of them carved parts of backpack which are made of denim.

Since the denim is very dark, I had to fade them with the bleach or the liquid chlorine. Before chlorination go several times with emery paper, then sprinkle chlorine and leave to stand for 20 minutes for the parts which you want to be brighter.

 After that, you put them in the washing machine and wash at 60 degrees, dry and  then it's ready to produce.

To strengthen the denim I stuck sticky cloth (wovens ), and also I stuck  it to the leather.

At the front of the backpack I put a combination of large and small rivets.

I started to sew a backpack from the front to the rear I put reinforcement  at the bottom of the side where is leather band.

In the shoulder straps and the back of the backpack I put a sponge, so the backpack would be comfortable to carry.

And my backpack is over ....

What do you say?

I had a little extra time and i also sew a pencil box.

evening dress, dress for prom, formal dresses,dresses from lace, dress for my daughter

I have to admit, time passes very quickly. My eldest daughter  had a senior prom on Friday 29th of May. Seems like it was yesterday when she was small for me and now she is already a big girl. Her desire was to design this dress, a combination of black and white. Simple and elegant. The combination of lace, silk taffeta and tulle. The line pattern is like the fifties, to me always beautiful year for the dress pattern.
There was a tear in my eye during the beautiful ceremony. My wife and I are very proud.

Children's fashion, children's tunic, shirt with lines,knitted cotton jersey tunic

Among a lot of material under my crafting table, I came across a knitted cotton jersey, monochromed and with lines.

 Hmmm, I thought... what could I make from that for my daughter, playful and gentle as a flower… A game of lines and shapes of rose petals...

I drew several clothes designes on this topic, choose the best for me and worked out the pattern for tunic. Tailored, sewed and with beads added little word "little ".

My wife made her green tights.

Success for us, our daughter was satisfied .

Beautiful painted T-shirts for girls, brand model of knitted soft jersey

I saw a beautiful design on the Internet, the brand "Diesel". I thought, it would be a great shirt for my youngest daughter Greta

I took the same fabric as the T-shirt of Julia,  knitted soft cream jersey and imitation leather on Jersey for combination. I needed to change the design for the same reason as before, because of the print. I drew a textil colors parts of the face, and instead of drawing the hair,I used a combination of fabrics.

I was very happy with my performance, but my youngest daughter was not satisfied. She would like to have drawn a cat.

Conclusion: Daddy should ask next time. J

What and how to make ,sew, a gift fashion T-shirt for the fans "One Direction"

Every farewell of the old year and welcome the New Year for the past 14 years  we have  double celebration in my a family, because we are celebrating a birthday of my middle daughter Julia. Since she is one of the great fans of the group "One Direction" it's not difficult to select a gift that will cheer her up.

This year I decided to sew her a hoodie with the logo and full name "One Direction“. But since I do not have a machine for printing designs on T-shirts I had to think of another performance. I chose a very soft cream cotton fabric which  I combined with brown imitation of leather on the jersey.

I designed a pattern that was tried out on a model.

I cut 1D logo  from a combination of imitation leather, and  I wrote full name with a textile colors. Maybe little objection to me, I did not used the template on this occasion, but I had written it freehand.

I have been very satisfied, and my daughter was very happy. :)
